After 4 pm on August 4, RAB raided Parimani’s house on Road No. 12 in Banani. A large quantity of foreign liquor, bottles of liquor and other drugs were seized from the house at that time. The court granted remand for four days on August 5 and two days on August 10.

On August 22, his lawyers applied for bail in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on behalf of the bride. The court fixed September 13 for the bail hearing. However, Parimani filed a writ petition in the High Court challenging the order as the bail hearing was fixed for 21 days.
The High Court ruled on September 13, 21 days after the hearing of Parimani’s bail application, that the order issued by the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court would not be declared null and void. At the same time, the rule also asked why it would not be directed to do so within two days before the hearing of the bail application (before September 13).
